The Alberta Teachers' Association has annual events devoted to the professional development of teachers:

• Teachers Conventions: to propose a workshop or talk at one of the ten teachers conventions in Alberta, visit the relevant websites, contact their Program Chairs, and propose a session!
  

• Specialist Council conferences: Please note that Science and Social Studies conferences are typically in the autumn, while the Global, Environmental, and Outdoor Education Council of the ATA tends to be in the Spring.  To propose a workshop at any of the ATA's twenty-one specialist council conferences, visit the relevant websites at least seven or eight months before the conference.
