The Alberta Teachers Association has annual events devoted to the professional development of teachers.

Teachers Conventions: to propose a workshop or talk at one of the ten teachers conventions in Alberta, visit the relevant websites.

Specialist Council conferences: Please note that Science and Social Studies conferences are typically in the autumn, while the GEOEC tends to be in the Spring.  To propose a workshop at any of the ATA's twenty-one specialist council conferences, visit the relevant websites at least seven or eight months before the conference.
