Professional Development
ACEE supports the professional development of environmental educators in Alberta through the following programs:

Encana Environmental Education Resource Centre
This on-line searchable resource database lists workshops, field trips, movies, websites, posters, presentations, and more! Searches can be done by audience, topic, curriculum, region of the province, type of resource and keyword. These tools provide Albertans with the skills, and knowledge to be stewards of our environment.
Communities of Practice
Communities of Practice for environmental educators in Alberta will help us deliver on one of our desired impacts, to create a coordinated network of engaged stakeholders collaborate to advance environmental education in Alberta.
Needs Assessments of Environmental Educators
Every year, ACEE conducts two needs assessments, one for agency professionals and a second for teachers. We use the information gathered to refine our services and set the professional development workshops for the next year.
Polling
ACEE has conducted two major polls of Albertans, one of adults and second focused on youth. The findings are interesting and reinforce the need for quality EE in Alberta.
