Kananaskis Programs

- “Wondrous Wetlands” and “Weather” are both programs that occur as a field trip to the kananaskis region. Wondrous weather contains links to human impact on weather changes. - This program has gotten rave reviews from teachers and students who have experienced it. The presentations are interactive and musical. Please note that these presentations are designed as a whole day, multi-class experience. Cost starts at $250.
Mad Science

- Black and Blue Oceans looks at oil spills and investigates acid rain. The students get to work with the clean-up of a mock oil spill. Wacky waves also has environmental components, but is not listed on the website. The cost of a workshop ranges from $150 to $160 for up to 30 students.

- Green Street has a great listing of field trips and presentations that range from free to about $300. To use the index select the province, grades and subject you are looking for (The science programs are all valuable resources). Check out the CPAWS resources and Quagmire simulation game referenced on this site.
