The Federation of Alberta Naturalists (FAN) was founded in 1970 and has become a provincially recognized voice for Alberta’s naturalists. FAN is a dynamic network of 33 clubs with upwards of 5,000 members participating in the study, enjoyment, and conservation of wild Alberta. For all those with a sense of wonder about nature, from the familiar and common wildlife of the urban landscape to the endangered and rare species of the remote mountaintops, FAN offers a chance to share nature with kindred spirits. In our modern environment nature needs more FANs.
