Alberta Tomorrow teaches the effects of land use to ecosystems and resource production in Alberta. By challenging students to develop sustainable development strategies for Alberta and providing a hands-on environment to explore the implications of land use decisions, the land use simulator fosters stewardship of Alberta’s natural resources. The experiential learning environment provided by the simulator will also promote higher order thinking skills such as synthesis and evaluation that are required to identify real-world sustainable development solutions.
