Based in Canmore, McTavish Publishing is a children's book publisher focusing on mountain and ocean environments and the protection and preservation of animal habitats. Our mandate is to publish beautifully illustrated educational books for children that reflect the true spirit of the wilderness It is our hope that in the creative telling of these stories and poems(based on fact), we will engage the imagination and curiosity of children and encourage an appreciation of the beauty, joy, danger, fun and surprises that are found in the mountains. We are committed to preserving the integrity of each of the animals in our books while exploring interactive ways that children might gain an appreciation and love of the wilderness.
