Tourism Recreation Parks Culture (Kananaskis)

We help deliver on this Framework outcome:

Outcome 2-6: Families and members of the public receive more EE; and the non-formal EE stakeholder community is better networked and strengthened

What we are currently doing to deliver on the outcome:

  • Membership with the Society of Educational Resource Groups (SERG) and affiliation with ACEE
  • Current focus on providing EE opportunities to non-formal groups

In the future we plan to deliver on the outcome by:

  • Organize a gathering of local EE providers to share knowledge, network and provide training opportunities
  • Pursue partnerships to provide further EE opportunities
  • Increase the human resources in our department that are dedicated to EE
  • Connect with Alberta Parks partners and CPAWS

Measures of success:

  • More partnerships formed
  • Diversified opportunities that are offered by our programs
  • Increased public support for new EE initiatives
  • Documented success with collaborators
  • Increased cohesion in EE community
