In May 2010 ACEE partnered with the Alberta Teachers Association to convene a one-day symposium for over 250 teachers and agency employees.  This work breathes fresh life into the 'living document' that is our Framework; a Multi-Stakeholder Steering Committee has committed to writing a 2010 Framework to Advance Environmental Education, supported by ACEE in its role as Secretariat to this critically important process!

ACEE (and its Executive Director Gareth Thomson, shown below) was 'supported' by a team of a dozen professional facilitators provided by Alberta Culture and Community Development...

...and resulted in a rich and exciting list of actions that would help advance environmental education and global citizenship -  PLUS 73 commitments from participants and stakeholders to help deliver on these actions!

The ATA's Coordinator of Professional Development Michael Podlosky (shown here, on the left) was instrumental to the success of the event...

.. and thanks to ACEE Board members Pat Worthington and Jeff Reading, shown below, who gave the closing address as 'Themeweavers' of this event.Pat and Jeff.jpg
