Lakeland College
We help deliver on this Framework outcome:
Outcome 1-7: Collaborative work helps advance environmental education within the groups’ chosen focus.View the most recent update on new projects that deliver on this outcome>>
What we are currently doing to deliver on the outcome:
- Our faculty partners with local schools (usually junior and senior high) to deliver day sessions for the students in order to deliver some of their curriculum with environmental education enrichment.
- We also work with 4H groups and Junior Forest Rangers groups.
In the future we plan to deliver on the outcome by:
- Contact school boards in our broader region to expand on what we've done with local schools
- Make connections with Scouts Canada
- Expand our programs to environmental education teacher training
- Create new internet-based linkages to promote our services
- Expand our market research and development, training and delegation
Measures of success:
- Identify benchmarks
- Expansion = cost-neutral
- Track connections to enrollment
