Alberta Agriculture Food and Rural Development

We help deliver on these Framework outcomes:

Outcome 2-1: More educators find and use quality EE services and programs; EE providers report higher demand and ‘uptake’

Outcome 2-3: EE stakeholders feel better networked, collaborate and partner with others, and are more effective and efficient in their work

Outcome 2-4: Information about activities and opportunities circulate more readily within the formal EE community

Outcome 2-5: EE stakeholders feel that they are part of a regional network, and learn more about provincial and regional initiatives

What we are currently doing to deliver on the outcomes:

  • Networking with teachers interested in agriculture and attempting to broaden this group, with a focus on sustainable agriculture

In the future we plan to deliver on the outcomes by:

  • Continue to connect teachers and funding sources to benefit both groups
  • Continued work connecting teachers to agri-industry

Measures of success:

  • More Alberta teachers know about the supports offered by the agricultural industry and can integrate new knowledge into curriculum
  • Increased list of contacts signing onto our newsletter (Agriculture Ed)
  • More sustainable agriculture projects and learning schools
